Meet Grace Edison & Alyson Watt
Grace Edison, Alyson Watt, and their friend Jamie Corpuz are devoted practitioners of yoga and certified yoga instructors. They had a desire to share the healing and transforming powers of yoga with others in their hometown of Terrace. However, it was important to them to be able to do this in the right kind of space and with highly qualified and specialized instructors. Most of all, they wanted to ensure that there would be no barriers to the practice of yoga for the people of Terrace. Ultimately, they decided to go into business together and they opened The Yoga Studio in 2014.
Yoga connects practitioners to one another in profound ways. That sense of connection is easy to build in a place like Terrace. Many people who live in this small town are already connected in a variety of ways: through business, work, school, their children or participation in community clubs. Extending those connections into the yoga studio has created a vibrant yoga community that Grace and Alyson feel privileged to help facilitate.
That feeling of community, in and out of the yoga studio, makes Terrace an enriching and safe place to live and raise a family. Between its wonderful residents and its incredible access to the outdoors, Terrace has everything the three friends could ask for. Besides their practice of yoga, both women are also active in other ways. They particularly enjoy outdoor activities like skiing (especially at Shames Mountain), hiking, fishing and just about anything else one can do outside.
Empowering. Supportive. Soothing.
